Hello! I am the President of Raquel Shutt Event Consulting, bringing over 20 years of expertise in the meetings and events industry. Recognized for my energy, creativity, and leadership, I am passionate about delivering exceptional events for clients nationwide.
I began my hospitality career at Marriott and earned my Certified Wedding Planner Certification in 2001. I then went on to earn my MBA from Loyola University Maryland in 2004. During my time at Loyola, I founded Wedding Savvy, Inc. Over the next 17 years, Wedding Savvy grew into a nationally recognized and award-winning event planning firm known for its client-focused approach. In 2019, after successfully expanding and evolving the business, I sold it to spend more time with my family and to focus on corporate events.
Since then, I have continued offering corporate meeting and event planning services. In 2023, I introduced the Golden Rule Meetings brand, focusing on Conference and Meeting Planning, and obtained my Certified Meeting Professional certification in 2025. I love blending my passion for hospitality with my extensive event experience to create memorable events!
When I’m not planning events, you can find me golfing, spending time with family and friends, and actively participating in my Catholic church. I’m excited to learn about your vision and look forward to partnering with you to bring it to life.
